About Lee-Anne Gillie

Lee-Anne’s career can be understood in three chapters:

The Commercial Builder

Beginning in manufacturing and commercial leadership, I built my reputation growing businesses from the inside – scaling turnover, improving performance and leading teams through complexity.

Over nearly two decades in senior roles spanning manufacturing, healthcare, retail and hospitality, I developed a practical reputation for blending commercial discipline with people-centred leadership.

 

The Transformation Leader

As my career progressed, I increasingly stepped into situations requiring turnaround, restructuring and change leadership.

Whether stabilising operations during crisis, integrating post-acquisition teams, rebuilding culture, or designing growth strategies, my work became focused on helping organisations move from uncertainty to momentum.

This included leading operational change that contributed to award-winning performance, supporting specialist engineering firms toward investment readiness, and helping businesses create stronger foundations for growth.

The Fractional Growth Partner

That journey ultimately led to founding Balance Point.

Today, I work as a fractional strategic partner to founder-led businesses, combining commercial growth thinking, operational improvement and entrepreneurial insight.

Alongside consulting, I plays a wider ecosystem role through entrepreneurship, innovation and regional growth programmes, connecting business support, education and enterprise.
